Takahiro Hojo, president of the Reitaisai Touhou Project fan convention, will be at Japan Impact 2026!

Touhou Project is a universe of its own in Japanese pop culture: initially a series of shoot-‘em-ups set in a world of yōkai, the franchise has expanded into a long-standing Internet sensation, thanks in large part to a passionate doujin (fan-made works) community…

…which even has its own convention! Every year, Reitaisai welcomes artists, authors, and musicians who come to present their new Touhou-inspired works to fellow fans. And this year, we are honored to welcome to Japan Impact the president of this incredible event: Takahiro Hojo!

On Saturday, February 14 and Sunday, February 15, he will host conferences on his role in organizing Reitaisai, as well as his history with the Touhou universe. Get ready to dive into the inner workings of a monument of fan culture and of the Japanese indie video game scene!🎮
